allright, now i got your point...i hope:D
i'd like to do do some translation work as well!
to get things right: its only up to myself quoting any subject which I thought usefull? summerizing it and putting it into a good shape for foreign friends of fc?
do you want people to post the translations right here or do you prefere getting it all nicley folded up as IM? maybe a special thread which i haven't seen yet?
[red]no more questions *hahaha* found the boards![/red]

If more people are getting into this, it might be advisable to organize it a little bit to avoid two people translating the same thread.
The way I will go about will be that I am going to print out an entire thread and compose a summary of the joint knowledge it contained.
And I will be including the pictures or sketches used for illustration.
If someone like Geomar is posting such a wonderful step-by-step description I will very likely follow that structure, and maybe add some things that others have posted in response.
The aim is to have a thorough reflection of the German thread.
I think HOW it will be translated will be mostly up to the person doing the job, how she/he feels it the best way to translate the information.
So let me boldly declare here and now that I will translate the "Dyeing of feathers thread".

The best and the brightest!
What you suggest is exactly what we need. I think if anybody who wants to do a translation declares his intention here, there won't be any confusion...
Not to be outdone, I'll translate the stuff I posted on the pocket quiver, that was ages ago.

The instructions for building armguards and quivers and for coloring leather are presently written in English and are soon available here.

Good heavens!
We are trying to LURE them to get in touch, not send them off running and screaming in the opposite direction...!
:-( :bash
But I must admit, that is who and what we are - a bunch of basketcases...
Gotta love us!

Good luck finding someone to translate that!
